Creating a Safe and Conducive Learning Environment for Children

About Us

Ummi Wa Bint Childcare & Learning Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a childcare center dedicated to helping children develop and learn. We offer an educational and developmental curriculum for kids aged 6 months to 12 years old. Virtual learning services are also available.

In December 2015, Sandy and Daughter Anisa Short started this business  along with Ina Short, Sandy youngest sibling, who is no longer with us. She continues to operate the academy in Ina’s honor.

Additionally, we developed a nonprofit organization, The Learning Station Academy, which is geared towards mentoring aged-out children by assisting them on their journey  towards career development . For more information, feel free to call or email the center concerning information related to our mentoring program.
